Poem: A Time Bomb

By Daniel Calabresi
Illustrated by

I want to experience.
I wanna do every drug there is out there.
I wanna feel every illusion and sensation this world has to offer.
I wanna do it all.

But I can’t.

I can’t because I’m too fragile.

You see, I know I am
because every time I cross my eyes towards it,
I feel my mind disintegrating a bit more.

It’s a terrible feeling.

To be weak, knowing you did it to yourself.

I’m already feeling like a ticking time bomb.

And every time I get a little taste,

I see the watch on the bomb ticking faster.

About The Artist

Ludwig Van Bacon – LVB Art

“I’m a 32 “going on 12” year-old from Senoia, GA who worked at an electronics repair depot just a few years ago.
I sell my art under ‘LVB’ Art or ‘Ludwig Van Bacon’, and my work has been described as “what would happen if Tim Burton and Lisa Frank got together”

My belief that humans have a strong kinship to the movies of their youth, may just be the best thing that ever happened to me. Or to you, if you are a fan of Princess Bride, David Bowie’s fangirl favorite “The Labyrinth,” “Edward Scissorhands” “BeetleJuice,” “The Neverending Story” or Stephen King’s “IT.”

Which let’s be honest, who isn’t?

My art has become the subject of viral memes, Spencer’s tees, rock band album art, full fabric lines, personal tattoos and individual commission pieces from all over the globe.”
